The show will be opened with a special debut performance by Ayana Contreras ( @ms.ayana.contreras ), doing original music and covers from recent and upcoming single releases.

Anteloper is a duo of psychedelic sonic compatriots starring a pair of raggedy celestial sound warriors: trumpeter jaimie branch and drummer Jason Nazary. These longtime friends and collaborators met as young explorers and consider this electrified duo a continuous experiment into the unknown sonic abyss.

International Anthem presents this mondo TRIPLE album release show *In The Round* featuring three label artists with new music out in 2022. The unmistakable Pilsen-based percussionist DANIEL VILLARREAL performs in celebration of his new album Panamá 77; Brooklyn-based Chicago expat jaimie branch brings her ANTELOPER duo with Jason Nazary to reinterpret their new Jeff Parker-produced album Pink Dolphins; and the LA-based, Chicago-raised tandem of JEREMIAH CHIU & MARTA SOFIA HONER do their Windy City debut as duo, playing music from their critically-lauded LP Recordings from the Åland Islands.

The Summer of Stepney events begin with a Kickoff Party at beloved Chicago venue The Hideout, on the afternoon of Sunday May 29th. The Kickoff Party will feature a front porch conversation between the Stepney Sisters and Chicago culture historian Ayana Contreras, DJ sets by King Hippo & Scottie McNiece, and a performance by a new large ensemble – called Rotary Connection 222 – under the musical direction of International Anthem recording artist Junius Paul.

Hotel Saint Vincent and International Anthem are proud to present 55 SOUTH, a free music showcase on Sunday, May 1st, noon to midnight, featuring live performances by JEFF PARKER, MAKAYA McCRAVEN, DEZRON DOUGLAS, and BRANDEE YOUNGER.

BBC/ Brownswood / Worldwide FM kingpin Gilles Peterson makes a rare visit to Chicago for one night of fun at Co-Prosperity Sphere. Gilles will present performances and interviews with a slew of folks from the International Anthem family including Angel Bat Dawid, Damon Locks w/ members of Black Monument Ensemble, Junius Paul Music, Makaya McCraven, Resavoir, Jaimie Breezy Branch.
