AMSTERDAM: An International Anthem Showcase

During this spectacular showcase by the renowned International Anthem Recordings, Frank Rosaly and Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti present their debut album 'MESTIZX' on this experimental jazz label. Also on the program are other stars from the label: Ruth Goller and Bex Burch. International Anthem is a Chicago-based record label that produces and promotes progressive media. The label's mission is to make positive contributions to the changing state of the music industry and revitalize the demand for boundary-pushing music by presenting unique sounds in appealing packages to undiscovered audiences.

Since early 2015, Space is the Place has been organizing intimate and grand evenings with a broad perspective on jazz and improvisational music. In collaboration with International Anthem Recordings and Molk Factory, they are co-hosting a showcase at Tolhuistuin on May 31.

Frank Rosaly and Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti On their debut album 'Mestixz,' Frank Rosaly and Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti pay tribute to their Latin American heritage, free from traditional constraints. The album embodies an eclectic celebration of protest music, with influences from various genres such as free jazz, electronica, Chicago post-rock, bomba, plena, cumbia, ambient, Andean, minimal, noise, punk, and folk. In their band, you can hear musicians like Ben Lamar Gay, Matt Lux, Ben Boye, and Marta Warelis.

Ruth Goller Ruth Goller, a versatile artist from the United Kingdom, is known as the bassist of punk-jazz bands Acoustic Ladyland and Melt Yourself Down. Her recent album 'SKYLLUMINA' is praised for its unpretentious improvisations and returns to her punk roots with an experimental approach.

Bex Burch Bex Burch, a composer and percussionist, released her debut album 'There is only love and fear' via International Anthem. Rooted in avant-garde improvisation, the album is characterized by Burch's sensitivity to natural timbres and autobiographical sounds, resulting in an immersive masterpiece with influences from Moondog, Carlos Niño, and Sun Ra Arkestra.
