Makaya McCraven's In These Times was recorded at many locations over many years, but one of the defining sessions was a few days spent at Chicago's Palisade Studios in January 2020, where the band was tightening up in advance of Makaya's performance at Chicago Symphony Center. Here are a few moments from an afternoon at Palisade, captured by Andrea Falcone.

Palisade Studios (fka Decade) has been host to many International Anthem sessions—in addition to In These Times, work on Resavoir's Resavoir, jaimie branch's Fly or Die II, Junius Paul's ISM, Irreversible Entanglements’ Who Sent You?, and Rob Mazurek's Dimensional Stardust was also done at the N. Clybourn Ave studio.

Decade's previous location on N. Lincoln Ave (fka Observatory) was another a central studio zone tor many early International Anthem releases: Rob Mazurek's Alternate Moon Cycles, Rob Jacobs' S/T, Ahleuchatistas' Arrebato, Bottle Tree's S/T, jaimie branch's Fly or Die, and Dos Santos' Logos were all mixed there through their analog console.
