A very special global happening… centered around Touch, the first new Tortoise album in nine years… to take place on Friday October 18th, ahead of the record’s official release on October 24th.
We’re thrilled to partner with a growing list of independent record stores across the world for an in-person experience.
On October 18th select shops will transform into communal sanctuaries where you can gather with friends and fellow music lovers to hear Touch in full, together, before it’s available anywhere else.
Like the album itself—crafted across distances, layered with cinematic unease, and shaped by Tortoise’s collective spirit—these listening events are about connection, patience, and presence. Close your eyes in the shop and you might hear the echoes of dimly lit streets, midnight bells, or shifting rhythms unfolding like a film on an unseen screen.
No livestream, no broadcast—just the rare chance to be in the room, to share in the music as community, the way it was meant to be heard.
