Ecstatic news and new music today from Tomin! His debut as an ensemble leader – A Willed and Conscious Balance – is out November 1st.

“With every composition, Gamedze attempts to peel back layers of our forgotten past. He stands as a constant reminder of the beauty of living in hope and fighting for a liberated future. This music reflects the times we are living in — it’s urgent, it’s driving, it speaks to the soul.” - Tseliso Monaheng, Okayafrica

“Pokemans” echoes the sound of Tortoise on Standards as much as it does Four Tet or any of Junichi Masuda’s 8-bit school bus classics, employing a breezy electric guitar theme with 808-style bumps and lo-fi City Pop sounds, sprinkled with delicate, chiming synth melodies in a would-be Gameboy soundtrack.

Beautiful new live document from interdisciplinary artist, composer and bandleader Rob Mazurek and a nine-piece iteration of his long-running Exploding Star Orchestra (ESO). Live at the Adler Planetarium will be released on LP, CD and DD on September 27th.

Releasing worldwide on vinyl 2LP, CD, and digital download this Friday: Constitution by Cape Town, South Africa based drummer, composer, and bandleader Asher Gamedze with his new 10-piece ensemble The Black Lungs.

New music out today from Resavoir crew, who highlight the twilight of Summer with this bittersweet banger by friend of the band Kevin Rhomberg.

“A jazz love letter.” - Aly Eleanor, Spectrum Culture

After many supporting appearances on IARC across the years (including Makaya McCraven's Universal Beings in 2018, Daniel Villareal's Panamá 77 in 2022 and Lados B in 2023, Bex Burch's There is only love and fear also in 2023, and earlier this Summer as a core member of SML on Small Medium Large) we could not be more ecstatic to announce our first lead artist release with Anna Butterss!!!

Releasing worldwide on vinyl LP, cassette, and digital download this Friday: Flores para Verene / Cantos para Caramina by Brooklyn born/raised/based multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and bioinformatician Tomin.

On a cold gray April day, Resavoir gathered at their studio in Little Village, Chicago, to record and film a few tunes including a beautiful rendition of the Yusef Lateef composition “Love Theme from Spartacus.”
