In March of 2022, International Anthem and Qobuz began a semi-regular series of co-presented shows in the hi-fi confines of Brooklyn's Public Records.
The series became somewhat of a Big Apple home base for the International Anthem family, as over a dozen different artists to date have celebrated new or recent releases with IA@PR performances.
In the tradition of International Anthem's affinity for 'capturing the context', and to take full advantage of the acoustically superior Sound Room at Public Records, every single one of these shows was recorded. Excerpts from nine of those shows have already been released on Qobuz, where they are available exclusively for high resolution streaming and download.
Today, we are very happy to release another live EP from this series on Qobuz.

International Anthem @ Public Records (Volume 11)
Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, Amsterdam-based Bolivian/Brazilian multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti and Puerto Rican Chicago ex-pat drummer/composer Frank Rosaly assembled a unique ensemble to perform music from their critically-acclaimed, International Anthem & Nonesuch Records co-released 2024 album MESTIZX at Public Records in Brooklyn.
It was the tail end of their debut US tour, just days after they performed the music at the illustrious Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee. The ensemble included a cast of Rosaly’s longtime comrades from his many years on the Chicago jazz and improvised music scenes, including Matthew Lux (Isotope 217, Iron & Wine), percussionist Mikel Patrick Avery (BASIC, Kurt Vile), keyboardist Ben Boye (Ty Segall, Bonnie Prince Billy), and clarinetist Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV on the Radio), with the addition of Brooklyn born/based, International Anthem label-mate Tomin Perea-Chamblee on trumpet.
The two pieces included on International Anthem @ Public Records (Volume 11) are "Writing With Knots" and "Sirinus," which were the two final pieces performed by the ensemble that night.

In Autumn 2025 the collaborative context for International Anthem and Qobuz's partnership expanded to include events held at The Land School in Chicago (the new home of IARC HQ).
International Anthem and Qobuz's co-presentations at The Land School have yielded two live EPs as well - International Anthem @ The Land School (Volume 1) by Tom Skinner, and International Anthem @ The Land School (Volume 2) by Rob Mazurek.
The Land School will be the location for the next co-presentation as well. Please join us on Thursday November 5, as Los Angeles based beatmaker and vocalist megiapa returns to Chicago to perform and celebrate the release of her new album Intentions.
For this very special event, megiapa will perform with a unique ensemble of Chicago based musicians including Naydja Bruton (drums), Carmani Edwards (bass), and Anaiet Soul (keys).
This will be megiapa's first Chicago appearance since February, when she performed in A Listening Space at The Land School, to cap off a week of final mixing sessions for Intentions, which happened in International Anthem's studio on the second floor of the same building!

For every edition of International Anthem @ Public Records, Mark Rice (aka Goatmother Industrial) made a gorgeous psychedelic poster. The poster art from each show was then modified into the digital cover art for the live release on Qobuz.
