Today, Gregory Uhlmann — who is known as co-leader of SML and Uhlmann Johnson Wilkes, supporting guitarist for of Anna Butterss, Perfume Genius, and Hand Habits, and was recently featured in Paste Magazine's '75 Greatest Guitarists of the 21st Century' — releases Extra Stars, his debut solo album for International Anthem, on LP, CD, and digital download.
Also today, Uhlmann shares the third streaming single "Back Scratch," a collage-cut from a series of piano improvisations and post-composed with pitch-shifted percussion contributions from Uhlmann’s SML bandmate Booker Stardrum. It follows previous lead singles "Lucia" (featuring Alabaster DePlume) and "Burnt Toast." The entirety of Extra Stars will be available on streaming platforms March 24.
