International Anthem recording artist Jeff Parker visits The Land School for a special film screening, followed by a conversation.
We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 3rd, from 7:30 PM to 10 PM at The Land School for a special advance screening of the new album-length concert film for Jeff Parker's forthcoming ETA IVtet album Happy Today. The ~44 film, directed by Charlie Weinmann, will be screened in The School's Auditorium, and will be followed by a live conversation and Q&A with Parker.
Happy Today, which releases May 15th via International Anthem and Nonesuch Records, is the latest album by guitarist Jeff Parker and his widely-beloved ETA IVtet ensemble with Jay Bellerose (drums), Anna Butterss (bass), and Josh Johnson (alto saxophone). The album (and accompanying film) was recorded live at Lodge Room in Los Angeles in August of 2025. It follows the band's critically-acclaimed 2024 album The Way Out of Easy (which debuted #1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart, and was called "a testament to the power of live jazz" by The Guardian).
Entry is free with a suggested donation of $15. The film will begin promptly at 8 PM.
We look forward to welcoming you.

About Jeff Parker
Jeff Parker is recognized as one of contemporary music’s most versatile and innovative electric guitarists and composers. With a prolific output characterized by musical ideas of angularity and logic, he works in a wide variety of mediums - from pop, rock and jazz to new music - using ideas informed by innovations and trends in both popular and experimental forms. He creates works that explore and exploit the contrary relationships between tradition and technology, improvisation and composition, and the familiar and the abstract.
